Thought you might enjoy this. Its a couple of photos I took at Maxwell, during our stay there. Expeditors were on the Far end of the runway and you cannot see them. Second picture is the showers and mess hall they had set up for us.

The sad part about these pictures is that the supplies that were desperately needed by the victims never got dispatched because of the enormous amount of paperwork involved in the process! Everything from water, ice, and generators sat for days and did no one any good! No one knows this better than you. We [floridians] did appreciate all the supplies that made it to us. The men and women who worked so hard to help us was overwhelming! But seeing resources sitting on docks at military installations and trucks sitting idle for a week and not go anywhere is rediculous! Thank you for being there to help. However you know how badly mismanaged these resources were handled. Our Government in action.

Actually, it sounded like a large part of the holdup was due to poor access to the affected areas. That being said, I am sure some was due to "red tape"

I have a freind who is involved in sending folks down there for a Fifth Third bank project and as he explained it, there is not a government problem at all. It is the coordinators of the program that have not a clue as to what they are doing. This needs some true logistics experts. That is just his input as he handles the logistics from Cincinnati. Who knows
