Looking for a mentor

Hello,

I'm on here looking for a mentor to help me get started in the expediting business. I have drove tractor trailers for CRST about 22 years ago with a split shift then I went to driving a cargo van for Panther. I got out of the business because I became a single father. I am still kind of in the business but doing last-mile deliveries with my own team. I'm looking to get into OTR with possible starting with cargo vans/sprinters and would like some help. I know I'm going to make some mistakes but if I can avoid those mistakes it would save me a lot of money. I'm willing to pay for the right mentor. I would like to find someone that knows the business, has experience with multiple carriers and has a bunch of vehicles on the road. Please reach out if you think you can help me. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I think you might be selling yourself short there. 22 yrs at CRST and time in at Panther sounds to me like you could be a mentor. I'm not the right guy and I'm not a fleet owner, but the main advice I'd give is to have some money in reserve before starting up and to keep detailed records of what you're operating costs are.
