owns the FedEx Bright yellow Western Star. They too spent Easter running south. I stopped at the first Rest Stop going south into NC on I40 and this baby pulled in. Male and Female drivers. Well a Female driver with a Male oil checker from what I saw. :) I was in a hurry and did not have a chance to talk. WOW! It was a sight for sore eyes. Fantastic looking rig. The only thing I could even see that I would want changed, a bigger box. Just me. Oh man was that thing nice. They don't know it but I got a picture. Whoever you are, NICE TRUCK and the guy rushing out was me.

Describe the truck to us all so we can keep an eye out for it... I too spent Easter rollin'... With a bus out of FL back to SC.
Sat. I spent all afternoon and part of the evening at Detroit Diesel in Tampa due to a bad belt. MCI bus, from ABC in Orlando - it was a rental bus, to cover business lost by a bus in the fleet that is undergoing major repair work. Long story short, MCI in Orlando wanted me to come to Orlando (FROM TAMPA) to get the belt. it was the roadside assistance #!!! Longer story shorter, $60 belt cost nearly $1,500 to get it from Orlando, to Tampa and installed. MCI got us for $820, and Detroit got us for $715... due mostly to wait time and labor. The bus also had electrical problems that Detroit fixed.
I said to the phone reps at MCI, maybe my thinkin' in wrong here, but isn't roadside assistance where you come to me and assist me?
Has AAA has been doing it wrong all these years?

The NYC run I'm doin' tonite/tomorrow into the weekend is on another bus in the fleet that I'm used to.

By the way, Detroit Diesel in Tampa was very nice to us/me, the cost really shot up on Sat. after 4pm, when they technically were closed. I was there until 8pm. However, all things aside, the Detroit shop in Tampa was good to me despite the costs incurred... and they're right next door to a Freightliner shop/dealer on SR 60 appox. 2-3 miles west of I-75 on the left hand side. Thought I'd pass that info along to fellow drivers on here.

I'm still an expediter...
my freight just talks to me.

Later, BigBus'

I will admit I am a little slow when it comes to the computer technology. If some one will tell me how to post a photo, I will send it from my phone to my email then put it on here. You will love this truck it is just drop dead...... oh it is a truck not a woman. It was was really nice. I get so excited when I see anything that HOT.
