HI ALL,

WE ARE NOW IN NOVEMBER, 2008 How time flies, it's getting to that time of year again where you all will have to get all your receipts together for the person who does your taxes.

Normally, from this time through Xmas you should be busy, depending on the company that you are with, but it would not hurt to sit down when you are waiting for a load, or home for the weekend to start getting your information together.

You have to remember that certain reciepts will fade that you recieve for fuel, tolls, and over the counter purchases, that you collect and leave in the truck, crumple up, on the floor, etc. These receipts prove what you spend out there, and if they are so faded the you cannot read them, your tax preparer, accountant will not be able to take the deductions you are entitled to.

The reaon that these reciepts fade are because they are printed on Thermal Paper.
IF use the receipts directly from the Fuel Pumps, Pilot, Flying J, T/A, Wilco, Petro, Loves or any other Truck stop They will fade, Toll Reciepts, Most from all states will fade.
Other Over the counter transactions, also will fade especially Wal Mart, if you purchase Oil, or parts. Mostly all of the companies wherever you go use thermal paper, SO THEY WILL FADE. The best way is Monthly make copies of all thermal paper reciepts. but do not throw away the originals.

Ask your accountant, or Tax preparer for a monthly expense sheet, so you do not have to send all the information at once.

Important Information on filing Extensions

You have to remember when you ask for an extension to file your taxes, it only entends the time to file each year, it does not give you the relief of paying the taxes that are owed (if any) You will still be responsible for any tax owed plus penalites and interest.

We have for your conveinance a deductible listing that is available by request. Just e-mail me at [email protected] and I will be glad to forward it to you.
