I ask about insurance from time to time, yet I've never received an answer that has helped yet. Here i go again. My new premium from Progressive for 2026 is $10,038. This is for a commercial policy, they no longer offer NTL/Bobtail in NY. I am currently trying to find out from the carrier I'm contracted with if they require me to carry $1,000,000 in liability coverage since that's 75% of the premium charge. The company I'm contracted with covers me when under dispatch. Since I deliver an exclusive item I am considered under dispatch for the entire round trip. Last week I did a 5,800 mile round trip that was 100% under the cargo insurance, Progressive does not come into play at all. Since acquiring my current van on June 13th Progressive has covered my van for approximately 500 miles of driving while NOT under dispatch. The carriers insurance has covered me for about 40k miles. This is long winded I know, so I'll ask the simple question... does anyone have a company i can talk to about insurance that isn't Progressive?
