Local news; Channel 4 News; WARNING: BLACK ICE warning has already been put in effect for this evening. PA DOT advises that according to the National Weather Service, a Black Ice Warning will be effective this evening through the over night hours. Tempuratures will drop in the low teens this evening and with all the melting snow, black ice WILL BE PRESENT, ESPECIALLY on BRIDGES, OVERPASSES and LOW LYING AREAS. Travellers are urged to use EXTREME CAUTION!! Skip

Due to the controversial issue in the general forum, I will no longer use the term "black ice" while posting these warnings in this forum, even though the term is acknowledged and used by news media, the NWS and all the truck drivers who use the term. From now on I will use the term "slippery ice". So here goes; according to Local News Channel 4: a "SLIPPERY" Ice warning is still in effect this morning, travellers are advised to slow down and use caution on overpasses, bridges and low lying areas.
