Hello~wife and I are seeking teams (operating owners equipment) that would be willing to share information with us. We have been in careers other than trucking up to this point-construction and health care. Ages 50 and 49. Our youngest child starts college this fall. We both have our CDL's with Hazmat endorsements. We plan to make our career change after the first of the year. Have been interested and researching the industry since 2007. We plan to find a fleet owner we can work with that is contracted with a carrier who we will qualify with, operating a D unit on a 60/40 split, we pay for fuel.
What we are looking for are teams that would be willing to share their experiences, revenue and operating expenses for their 1st and 2nd years (if possible), operating under similar circumstances. If you are willing to share, we are interested in:
-Revenue to truck
-Miles
-Days in service
-Fuel surcharge
-Variable expenses (as operator)
-Fuel, etc.
-Fixed expenses
-Taxes
-Health Insurance
