Car hauling is hard work. Also, most experienced guys are used to good money.
If you offer decent equipment, decent money you'll find your guys.
The auctions and rail yards would be where you'll find working car haulers.
Also talk to people where you buy your equipment.
Car haulers are a tight knit bunch.

How old is the equipment? Most experienced guys seem to buy their own truck or work for a company with newer trucks and benefits. You can still find dependable hard working drivers for older equipment. I have 4-5 years of experience driving a truck and I am driving an older truck now and would do so for anyone as long as it is maintained well. How much do you pay? Is it better than the industry average? Are you leased on to a bigger company or have your own authority? FYI the other guy that replied (zorry) used to be a car hauler so if you provide a lot of information he might be able to guide you in a better direction.

to me it seems like nice schedule , conditions and pay
9 car carrier works 18-20 days , stay home the rest of the days per month
works 7 days , 2 days home , works 2 days , 3 days home , makes about 11000 miles a month , getting paid close to $8k per 4 weeks , he runs detroit-LA-detroit
7 car carrier goes east coast from chicago and back , 5 days of work per week , can do in 4 days if you want to bust your a$$ , but i am not pushing anyone
every driver is getting orders and schedule how to pick them up during working hours (so no strict appointments)

I'll call someone tomorrow. Detroit should be easy to cover. Don't know where I'd go other than word of mouth.
Unless you can advertise on a car locator web site like Centraldispatch.com
Experienced car haulers don't have trouble finding work.
