I want to build an extended run fuel tank for a Honda generator. I had previously tried to tap a plastic Honda cap but could not overcome pressure leaks around the 1/4" fitting.
Just ordered a machined aluminum Honda gas cap with a threaded top hole for connecting a hose fitting from Amazon for $29. The cap has a 1/4" female thread inside so you can use a 1/4" brass male fitting with a hose barb that screws into the cap.
