Hello all. I wasn't sure where to post this thread since we aren't really "newbies", however, it is about choosing a carrier to haul for.

We have been off the road for a while and are looking to get back into expediting this summer. We hauled for Panther several years back and more recently for FedEx CC. We really like to go west (Phoenix, L.A...) and want to choose a carrier that will get us there occasionally. I don't remember getting there much with Panther, but things may have changed in recent years. We did get west occasionally with FedEx CC.

I would like to get feedback as to how often you are getting out west and for what carriers.

I was out west of the Rockies April thru September leased to Landstar Express America and I was kept busy, I saw more Panther trucks than any other.

A week ago we went from WI to AZ, took an empty move to LA, sat for one day, then got a load all the way to GA! We also love getting out west every once in awhile! There is less traffic, a nice speed limit, and beautiful scenery. Plus CA has never disappointed us...Never! The 4 or 5 times we've been there we've got a 2,000+ mile run outta LA...every time!
