Grilling

We were finally able to put together our new little propane grill and make use of it this weekend. It is GREAT! We love it. We picked up some steaks at WalMart and fixed them on the new grill. They cooked quickly on the grill and clean up was so simple. The legs on our little grill fold up for easy storage. Here is a great way to fix potatoes when you are cooking your burgers or steak on the grill: Scrub potatoes and cut into thin rings (not as thin as potato chips but in rings like that). Spray a square of foil (enough for each person to have a "package" of potatoes) with Pam. Place potato rings, a bit of onion, salt, pepper and a pat of butter (if you use butter) on each piece of foil. Seal by folding the edges making a little pouch of potatoes for each person. Put on the grill with the meat. Turn a couple of times and these will be ready in about 5-7 min.

Great idea India, glad it's working for you. Another thing I've found is getting a few chips of hardwood (Walmart sells them in the grill section, if you don't have access) Soak them in water, wrap loosely in foil, and lay on grill beside food when cooking. Close the lid, and the smoke from the wood will give your food that 'real bbq' smoke flavor.
