This is my first year with expediting. It has been a roller coaster ride for me. I really enjoy this forum I just found it today and it has answered a lot of questions i have been having, thank you all for posting.
I work for a brand new company that a friend of mine just started. Lately times have been hard for my family. I am starting to get curious as to wether or not I should leave my friends company for a more money elsewhere. I have done some browsing but the only thing i have found so far is this great web site. Could I get some ideas as to what the rates are with some other companies? I realize this is a very broad question, so i will give some background info to try and help.
Currently I am earning a 60/40 cut and paying for all my own expenses(fuel, motel, food) as well as the truck. I question wether or not my employer is giving me the 60% or cutting his portion a little larger, how could I find something like this out?It just seems that i am working for free because after my expenses i dont have any money left. I will stop rambling here and wait for some replies to continue.
