engine replacement

any idea on how much it would cost labor included to replace a cat 3126

To get a 3126 repalced with labor is between $12-15k, sadly usually more than what the resale value of the truck itself is.

Have a question on your engine replacements. Did you replace with same type of 3126 (250 HP type)or did you have an increased version added. Also was it done by the Cat or Freightliner dealer? Reason I'm asking is because I've come across some web sites for 3126's up to 425HP. That & the 9 speed conversion would make a MEAN lil' FL-70!!!!

frist i work for blancherd cat in greenville sc ..the eng up rate
to 425hp is a joke it to hot and melt piston and as a life time off
6 mos to 1 year of normal driveing..if you are going to build just
put the right stuff in it and take it to 300hp or if you know someone
you can go to 330hp but it only for r.v. and firetruck..you could find a wreack firetruck and get the computer...the 3126 is a good eng
if it is taken care of main more oil change then normal 5000 mil
with idle time or 8000 mil w\no idle time the eng is easy to build
if you don't have a lot of blow by ??? just roll bearing ,new rings,
new head,???quiston on tubro,inj, to up rate you my need new inj
but i don't what number inj you got...take you 2 days with good tools
3 with hand tools ..just keep the vavle adj every 50,000. mil or 1
a year they will last longer ...vavle not adj will drop vavle that $$$$$$>... }>
