My wife and I want to get into expediting but we don't have any experience. I have a Class A and have been driving a straight truck only for a few months for a propane delivery company. My wife is going to class for her Class A this spring. Our previous work history is very stable, 24 years for me at one company (computer field service) and 17 years for her(teacher). Excellent driving records for both of us. Whats the likelyhood of us working for a truck owner leased to an expediting company?

Your chances are excellent. All of the major companies that advertise on this site have recruiters who know the fleet owners. There is usally a high turnover in this industry so you and your wife should be able to find a position. Also on this site advertise your availablity and the area you live in so fleet owners can locate you. Most fleet owners pay a percentage of the trucks revenue and the drivers buy the fuel. These days 60% of the revenue and you purchasing the fuel seems to be the going rate.Be aware though that the next few months are historically slow in this industry.Good Luck..
