Last week we stumbled across a very dangerous construction zone and I thought I would give you the heads-up about it.
As luck would have it we had to go both East and Westbound on I-10 between Louisiana and Houston through this paticular zone within a couple of hours. West bound is a lot bumpier. But, it was the fact that the lanes were narrower, and within 2" of the right and left solid lines was a concrete barrier wall. We slowed to 65 but the rest of the heavy trucking traffic didn't seem to acknowledge any need to reduce speed - they were going 70, 75 and even 80 through this construction zone.
I couldn't move a single inch closer to the right wall and the trucks were blowing by me. One truck's trailer swung across the center lane divide and took out me driver's mirror. Scared the crap outta me! But, at least it was only the mirror.
You might want to add your own hazard zones to this thread.
