Saturday was the anniversary of what was without a doubt the most remarkable military accomplishment in the history of mankind. For most people, this date gets a couple of articles in their local newspaper and a few comments on TV as they continue with their daily routine. The kids in their 20s and 30s are especially oblivious, most having gone through public education without having been given anything that remotely resembles a true picture of what the World War 2 vets endured and sacrificed to ensure the defeat of Nazi Germany. The next time we hear some pompous, liberal politician (who has never served a day in uniform) start offering apologies for American arrogance, we need to remember people like the gentleman in this video interview and his fellow soldiers that now reside in French cemetaries.
