This brings back a memory. I had a '79 LUV. Getting ignition parts for it proved to be a challenge, you could not just go to the local auto-parts store and get points and a condenser. You could buy these things there, but--- when you installed them, the points would fail within minutes and you would be fortunate indeed to get the truck to run long enough to get back to the "shop". I had to buy ignition parts from the dealer.... it was the only way to make sure the little truck would run.

Ditto that with a Honda timing belt...ugh. Also there is an even bigger problem, epidemic even with; COUTERFEIT MECHANICS! You would think at $100.00 per hour, they would have some level of skill worthy of that kind of rate.
+1. Too many times it looks like they're just guessing and replacing parts with little idea if that part actually IS the problem.
