I have a Carrier Supra 844 that's been giving me problems. It seems it happens when the outside temps get around freezing.
I can sit and run the unit all day and night, but when I start rolling, after an hour or so, the unit shuts down and I get a" SYSTEM CK " message on control panel. After a minute , it tries to restart and repeats this a couple times then quits
trying.
I brought it to 2 different dealers. The first found the access door to the control panel mounted on outside of unit with a broken hinge, allowing moisture inside. That was repaired. After a couple days, it happened again. The next dealer found a ground wire short that is connected to heater coils on evaperator. That was fixed, and ran a couple more days.
Then again yesterday, 30 degrees outside, it happened again. Today, it's been 40-50 degrees, and it's been fine all day.
Any suggestions?
