Cargo Van or Straight , New or Used, Which Compan

First of all I must say I am new to Expediting but not Trucking. I've owned two Semi's and trailers to fill in for six years employment when I was layed off from another job. Now I am retired at age 48 years old. I get a good pension but would like to work around 10 days a month with my wife with me. I have a 53 year old brother who has also retired recently. He also would like to work 10 days or so a month with his wife. He has done some expediting in the past. My question is should we buy a cargo van, or straight truck? New or used? Which company is best to keep us busy in the Grand Rapids Michigan area? Can we run two teams out of the same truck?Thanks for any and all info.

I would post this in the "Ask the Recruiter" forum and call any companies you see listed on the main page that interest you. One problem I see with your plan is getting back to switch out every 10 days or so. Expediting isn't really a part time business and your 10 days a month idea is very part time. Good luck.
