I've been reading the 'Partners in Business' manual. Everything is for Tractor/trailers.
Is there someone out there to share with me an example of there 'fixed & variable' expenses, on a 'D' &/or 'B' unit? This way I could possibly get a better view of what I'm trying to get into. (to send [email protected])
Thank-you

Well, there are many more tractor/trailer rigs out there, so its easier to write that way. The concepts are the same though. A fixed expense is your truck payment, which we both have. A variable expense is the fuel for it. The tractor/trailer may run 3000 mi per week and get 6.5 mpg while an expeditor may get 11 mpg and run 2100 miles per week.
Our fixed and variable expenses would be different dollar amounts, but we're still talking the same things.
Some expenses we don't have in the smaller trucks are heavy vehicle use taxes, fuel taxes (unless you get a unit rated at over 26,000 gvw) and trailer rentals.
