I don't know if any of you remember, but a few onths ago I posted about how my brothers high school FFA makes biodeisel in their shop. Well we were talking about this weekend and I asked him what did they use to heat the soy oil up with. He said they have 40 gallons of soy oil in a 55 gallon drum and wrap an electric blanket around it, and they put a layer of that silver bubble type insulation around the electric blanket. He said they have a mercury type thermometer with a strig tied to it and the other end of the string is tied to a 2x4. They sounded kinda neat to me. If it works why not? It beats spending money on a fancy gadget they will do the same thing.
