Proverbs 21:5 The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
We must make decisions when in business, but moving too quickly or too slowly can be disastrous. Balance is the key when decisions are necessary. The Bible talks about a “just” balance and that we should not have a “false” balance. Proverbs 20:23 Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
Yes, we must consider the consequences of our actions, but we cannot become weighed down trying to work through every possible scenario. If we sit around wringing our hands worrying about every “what if”, nothing is ever accomplished. Conversely, we should not be overtly hasty in making a decision and forsake reasonable discernment.
Attentiveness to details will help us to avoid making catastrophic errors.
