The Electronic APU Park from Freightliner Well the Mechanic said it himself at Freightliner, Its the worst Deal Freightliner ever made for an Electronic APU. The Runner up is the Thermo King Electronic APU also a bad deal and that was stated by 4 Freightliners North Carolina at Triad Freightliner and Lee Freightliner In NC Freightliner of PA and last and not least Freightliner of Richmond VA. Not to Mention Penske Triad NC and Lee Penske of NC and Ontario CA Penske. Electronic APU Worst Deal Ever Made. APU that are worth the Money Carrier Comfort Pro and Thermo King APU that have the Diesel Generator. Ran all of these tried and tested in Below zero weather and in 139 degree Heat the Comfort Pro that I ran for 4 years on ER5346 was unbeatable. Once a year I change the Belts, The oil and filters got change by the Petro every time the Tractor Oil got change. I also can say this lost a Alternator Belt on the Tractor middle of no where in the desert and to get power to the Batteries I started the APU and she ran at night in the desert across 8 in CA to AZ then got the New belt at Pete Never let me down one time. In the cold up where it was -22F in British Columbia Canada she kept the Truck warm and Batteries charged and the Cat Motor warm and started like it was in Florida. Desert 139F or -22F in Canada that little APU was tops. BTW that truck used to be a Werner Truck I guess Werner used top notch equipment back in the day. That's my Rant Double Tap.
