    Just a suggestion, way don't you check on driving for a fleet owner to get your feet wet so to speak, you will have no large investment and get valuable experience long the way. Then you can buy a truck that will fit your operation.

    Never set in Chicago for a week, too much freight moves from the Chicago area, I would talk to Landstar, Load One, Panther and a few others, I'm sure, as a team you can do a lot better. Good Luck

    I did 13 years in the US Army, retired (1), Police Officer for 22 years, retired (2), in 1996 went to work of Roberts/FedEx. retired (3), lasted about 2 months, FedEx was not hiring, took a tour with Tri-State for a short time, Finally Con-Way Now/Panther retired in 2014 at (4) 80 years young...

    Expedite Dispatch

    Their a too many so call freight brokers (pond scum) who think they can skim a nice profit off the freight rate. OOIDA said it best "SAY NO TO CHEAP FREIGHT" it may help, I have been insulted to many time by the statement " it get you to the house.

    One place you DO NOT WANT to move too is Illinois, HIGH HIGH Taxes, bad politicians, just to name a few. I agree with the Tenn. vote.
