In fairness, they don't ever pay 'you'. They pay who they are contracted with: the fleet owner. Are you saying that they are not going to pay at all, or simply pay the fleet owner? If it's the latter, and the fleet owner is as stand-up as you say, they'd be wrong, IMHO, to not pass that bonus...

Not bigger money, but SIGNIFICANTLY bigger margins. In that vein, they make Freight look good.

In that same thread, you were also told that CC was the "lowest performing arm" of the Fed companies. Considering that gem, you really didn't take it personal, did ya?

Load op $$ diff from load info $$

I need your calculator. There's not 1400 trucks in the fleet. Usually, somewhere around 1/3 are out of service. That's less than 1,000. And then there's the assumption that every one of the in-service ones have a load....every day.

Load op $$ diff from load info $$

Happens to us....I wouldn't say with regularity, but has happened often. As soon as we're dispatched on a load, the Puerto Rican finance minister enters it into quickbooks, and tells me what the advance should be (should we decide to take one). If the advance request gets bounced, we know...

    Excessive deadhead

Are you sure that you have the same qualifications, or are at a better spot in the DVA than those two other trucks? FWIW, we've deadheaded well over 1,000 miles to a pickup before. In fairness, that's when things could be negotiated in surface, and it was a holiday.

    Undecided % or straight pay

Same way you can. Either go to Uniontown and ask to see a copy of the paid invoice, or trust the carrier. You'd also have to trust that the shipment hasn't been arranged through one of the parent company's other subsidiaries. Scary, huh? Sent from my DROID RAZR using EO Forums mobile app

    Undecided % or straight pay

Really need that sarcasm font. Negotiations have zero to do with percentage nor flat rate. The new pay plan goes into effect for those that have agreed to it. We have not. Sent from my DROID RAZR using EO Forums mobile app

    Undecided % or straight pay

Really? Even if my contract with the carrier agrees that I shall be paid as a percentage of the rate charged to the customer?

    Flat rate???

So, Denny, why don't you tell us what the costs per mile were on the truck you owned, and how far off from "profitable" the new pay plan is to your truck's numbers? Sent from my DROID RAZR using EO Forums mobile app

Weekly Fleet Bulletin - Monthly Fuel Tax Report

The info you're looking for on the Rand GPS is under Truck Tools, then Timers/Mileage/Trails/Fuel, then the mileage tab. It breaks down by quarter, then month, then by state/province. The Michigan IRP office would not accept the summary provided by FDCC, as it did not contain a daily odometer...

Weekly Fleet Bulletin - Monthly Fuel Tax Report

The Rand Mcnally GPS also tracks mileage by state, including a breakdown by toll and non-toll roads. This is a good tool to use when comparing to your monthly IFTA reporting. FWIW, we also used to use the summary that we asked for from FDCC. However, the kind folks at the Michigan IRP office...
