    Traveling with your dog

We just found a great do-it-yourself dog wash on the east side of Detroit. It is the Dapper Dog Wash in St Clair Shores MI. Best one we've ever used! They also have full-service wash and groom services. Check it out at index. If anyone knows of others elsewhere, please post info for us. Thanks!

    Doomsday Preppers

The Benelli Super Nova 12gauge pump at Big 5 runs under $400.00 and makes a great home protection weapon. You can add an extension for 7 rounds and with a mix on 00 buck shot and slugs you can take care of your family in close quarters. Way too many choices in longer range weapons. Dave...

    Doomsday Preppers

Sounds like Honey Lake country. We had some friends near there years ago when we lived North of Reno. The cheapest land we have found is in South Missouri. Try Texas County. They have a Castle Law that gives you broad protection if you find it necessary to defend yourself. The land is...

    Starving this year?

I forgot to add in Nov 19 to Dec 1. We totaled 7214 loaded miles from 11-19 to Dec 17. Kinda slow, we would like about 2200 miles a week. But the holidays took a bite out and we had a couple more days of personal time. Cheers to all!

    Starving this year?

We got about 4800 in the same time frame. It has been kinda slow for a van. Took off on dec 17 and came back the 26th. We should have stayed home until the 1st. However, The new year is bright and shinny. There isn't any tarnish and we are ready to run. Gotta full tank of fuel, good tires...

Grew up out there. Love that drive. Been over it in some of the best conditions and some of the worst. Love it all. One time we were headed up to Tonopah and there was an explosives truck that turned over on the pass so instead of waiting we cut through Death Valley at Midnight. It was the...

    Too many vanners now ?

Todd at FedEx never made it sound rosy for us. As far as we can tell, he was totally honest with us. So far we are running enough to keep us happy. I know as a team we are doing okay. It would be much tougher as a solo. Todd told us the best advise he could give was to have patience and...

    Do you run a Quad/ATV?

I had a Honda 350 Rancher. It was the two wheel drive unit with the manual shift. It served me well. Also it was really easy to drive. The steering was lively and very responive. Even for a novice it was comfortable from the get go. I am a Honda fan and maybe biased. At that time we had a...
