    Hino 268 Blower Motor

It's cool enough, just not enough airflow, same with heat. It seems that I remember seeing many complaints about this on these trucks in various places on the internet. Although I did notice that there seems to be warm air coming from the vent directed at the floor on the drivers feet.

    Hino 268 Blower Motor

Does anyone know if it is possible to install a blower motor that will put out more airflow than the stock one. Mine is a 2007. There is just not enough airflow coming out of the vents. I have cleaned the inside and outside filters and that did help some, but I think the motor or fan is just too...

Ate the tow bill and the dealer has it and says that the actuator is bad and it needs a new turbo. He says they plugged in a new actuator and the light went off. Could this be a stuck actuator that needs antiseize that you mentioned in the past??? Turbo is $2600 + $240 install kit and labor and...

Interesting that you mentioned that, there was some light rain off and on during the drive down. I have been in some pretty hard rains in the last week, but it's a possibilty. Thanks

Hey GTS my '07 268 7.7L/Allison turned on the check engine light and went into safe mode after I stopped to unload and restarted. I drove about 5 miles at 25mph then I checked all fluids including transmission. Disconnected the battery cable and added 1 quart of atf. Still no power. Limped back...

After comparing the drawing from the Hino manual and the actual picture at Rock Auto I would say definitely maybe. They sure look alike but I can't get any of their numbers to cross to a Bendix 4152206. By the way, I think the front shocks are Gabriel # 83140 also. Found them for $35 each online.

Downloaded a service manual from Trade Bit for $30,(Hino is about $500) highly recommend it if you work on your own stuff like I do, and a Hino quick reference guide(free) which shows alot of part numbers. Looks like the shoes are a common 9" x 3" #4152206 and I found them online for $54. Yay...

I'm in the Kansas city area. There are 2 dealers but you know how that goes. I thought there might be someplace on line that would be more reasonable.

Found it! If anyone needs to know.....Inside the cab take 2 screws out of the plastic trim around the brake handle. Remove the clevis pin, loosen the locknut on the end of the cable and turn the u shaped bracket. Unfortunately I have very little shoe left, almost out of adjustment, and I will...

I just read the whole thread since I bought an '07 268 automatic yesterday. I have maintenance questions. I do my own since I have never been happy with any shop I have used in the 4 years I have been doing this! Even a simple oil change can't seem to be performed around here. My truck has 280k...
