    The Gizmo - REVEALED!

I like Teacel's idea. I think I'll have to buy one just to convert it to a washer fluid filler upper. Especially with all the calcium cloride they're using. And with deciding what to fill it with, does urine freeze?

    How much is too much?

Well, I'd have to say much of the issue is with individual stations. I fueled in Akron, OH the other day at $1.639, all of the turnpike service plaza's in OH and PA were at $1.689 (and I usually expect them to be high), then I passed a stop on I-70 in PA with no near-by competitor who posted...

    Other T/A GM problems!!

Well, I fuel regularly at one small truck stop. They give me a decent discount (about 8 cents a gallon), and treat everyone well. $50.00 in fuel gets you 72 hours of parking with no problem as well. If anyone would be interested in sending me info on the GOOD places that they fuel, with details...

    sell or trade??

You might be better off with a box swap if you cut out the middle man. I'm sure there are others, but Kidron Body Co. out of Kidron, Ohio has installation on site at their manufacturing facility. You can spec the box and reefer from them, deliver the truck when the body is done, and be back at...

    CDL Requirement

I'm not so sure about the "law" aspect, the company I drive for now doesn't seem to see it that way, nor the police on the few occasions I've been stopped in the truck. But the insurance thing could be, as we are a self insured carrier. The haz-mat makes the most sense though.

    CDL Requirement

Why is it that the expediting company's require a CDL if the truck you want to use doen't require it?

Oh, incidentally Teacel, I my last stop is Pitt, and one day a week I pick up from a vendor in your neighborhood, over at Star Stainless.

    So, How's Business?

Well, I deliver to company stores. Arriving at most of them before they open, I do have to unload, but it's usually just a pallet or two. I deliver 11 stores a day, and usually put in 13 or 14 hours. The only thing I dislike is the extreme boredom, my day is exactly the same every day, no variety.

    So, How's Business?

Does this mean that I should keep my 40k a year and 4 day work week? You guys make it sound like a starvation industry.

    No Expediter is an Island

Well guys, I run straight truck, but am not yet an expediter. It's the drivers out there that have drummed my interest, always friendly or helpful. The only bad attitude I get usually comes from the guy sittin' on 5 axles. I've talked to a few of you guys here and there, and am always...
