    CoPilot reciever compatibility...

Well, I did check both websites, and a couple of others, and it should work. However, if you'r ever in my situation, and the reciever goes out, replacemnts are on ebay from $20 to $75. Just be sure you get one that is the same 183 class.

    CoPilot reciever compatibility...

Hey, can anybody give me a definite answer... Will the reciever from streets and trips work with co-pilot 4? My reciever went out, and now ALK is giving me the run-around. I need to figure this out. I'm heading back out this comin friday and with out the GPS I may as well stay home.

    Gaming systems?

Leo, I just scored a used PSP for $100 today. These little things are amazing. Solved my need for a decent mp3 player and a handheld game system. I just figured out how to load video with a downloaded program. This little gadget gets the Phreak's 100% Stamp of Approval!

    Gaming systems?

We have a PS2. Kinda nice, as it also plays dvd's, so t saves from having 2 boxes back there. DVD audio is very quiet out of it though. Might just be my garage-sale TV.

    LAPTOP USERS

HP Pavilion ze5600. It got it beacuse it was cheap, $200 used. It was ordered by my family's corporation for a sales rep that got fired before she could even turn it on. It sat 2 years in the original box, before it was dug up and sold to me. A Viruscan update, and it was ready to fly. I've had...

    Truck Stop Internet Connections (TSIC)

I went with an alltel aircard, as i have had great phone service for years with them. I justified the 60 a month by figuring that I never know which TS I'll be at, if one at all. To buy monthly for all 3, i'd be close to $60 a month anyway. And with a team, you don't always have enough time...

cobra 29 classic vs. galaxy949 or galaxy 959

LDB, I do see your point in saying that. I agree. CB is a trashy band to be on, and all the amplifiers out there don't help a bit. I have a linear for the purpose of communicating at home. MY setup is hooked into my 4x4 when i'm home, and sometimes extra power helps alot when two ORV groups...

cobra 29 classic vs. galaxy949 or galaxy 959

I ran diffrent versions of the Cobra 29 for a long time. I really don't get off of 19 much, or really ever use sideband, so when I stepped up, I went to a Galaxy 929, because the Starlite faceplate was a nice addition. Now that Cobra has their Nightwatch series, I suppose the 929 isn't really a...

    SLING BOX

This looks like an interesting setup. I imagine the recieving computer has to have quite the active memory to run this. I suppose it would work on the same principles as streaming video from an internet site.

    gettin' online

ahh, I was on one of those called just in time pickups. Not thinking. The air card is okay in Alpena, until the towers will go EVDO, and then it'll fly like it does here in Minooka, IL.

    gettin' online

Cheri, I used to get away with sneaking behind the best western, but the van is long gone, and the big red behemoth gets noticed easily. I went to the local alltel today and picked up an aircard and it's about 60 a month, and so far it works great.
