iPhone - for those who like simple things, and being spoonfed. Android - for those who like to learn new things, love modification and personalizing things. Though apple has improved their iOs, I still don't like it over androids sandbox style system. This is coming from an ex-Apple fan.

This, I love my Xpressway by BlueParrot, can't beat the adjustability and haven't had anyone complain about not being able to hear me or me not being able to hear them. Very comfy and easy to use.

I switched from the iphone 3g to android about 2.5years ago. Never looked back. The ability to customize everything on the phone appeals to me more than being stuck with what apple deems appropriate.

No problem :). Most military vehicles are 2 12v batteries in parallel (pos to pos neg to neg) and are switched to 24v to crank the engine. We actually just replaced our Travel Trailers inverter to a 1300 watt APS/PSWINVERT inverter. So far we can run the AC AND the microwave without it wining...

Are you sure your truck isn't a 12volt dual battery switched to 24 to start?

You can do that just fine with one phone. Hold the house looking key "home button" and a screen will pop up with your recent applications. You can easily switch from one to another without losing your place/progress.

Install a 16-32gig sd card and use it as a music player!

I have one of them cup holder mounts with the long swivel arm in the truck. But at home I like to use a Universal GPS Vent Mount. It also works for cell phones so that could work for you in your truck perhaps? It's non-intrusive and pretty easy to move from vehicle to vehicle.
