How Not to Treat a Prospective Driver

One can't fault Turri/Fusion for not taking vans. There's already too many vans/Sprinters/cubes out there. Every day is a struggle. A struggle for loads & a struggle for rates. Rock on, Turri!!!

    **WARNING to new contractors*****

Sadly, many owners and managers don't care at all what a driver says about them. Just another fish in the sea. Not all owners, but plenty of them. Believe it......

Fusion Transportation Group / Turri Logistics Introduction

Turri/Fusion has always been good, fair, honest and fair with us. Yes, I know I said fair twice. What else can anyone ask for? At our small size (at Crossroads Express) Turri/Fusion doesn't even need to bother with us. But I now understand that Turri/Fusion appreciates people that take care...

We're receiving their load postings. If I can't bid on one I delete it and later clean out my deleted folder. But the loads certainly look real enough.

    Hi, we're newbies.

Yeah, useless as an OO. But it sounded like he had bigger plans. Plus, the LLC is already filed. He'll have it whether, or not, he uses or needs it.

    Hi, we're newbies.

Meet with an accountant. Talk about filing your S-corp, if thats your route. BUT, don't move forward until you either have a sales plan or get on Sylectus. (10+ trucks) But do a lot of reading here on EO first. Do a lot of soul searching!!!! But KNOW how you will make money. Not guesses, know...

    Hi, we're newbies.

LOL!! If that's the case, I'm F'd!!! No, your company is based in your home state but you can deliver wherever you pay to operate. If van(s) and Sprinters you don't need to worry about single state registration to operate there. Your MC authority will suffice.

    Hi, we're newbies.

And don't buy an 07 or 08 Sprinter. But correct, hold into your LLC. But learn a lot about this before moving forward. It only costs more moving forward. Even if you do round up 10 drivers to sign on.

    Hi, we're newbies.

I think I heard to stay away from 07 & 08 Sprinters. Get a real accountant. How are you getting loads? Cold calls?

    Hello Everyone

Juan, sounds like your understanding of the basic requirements is good. I'm just a lowly vanner but I think the need to control costs is paramount. On the other hand, don't buy an older truck and have to turn wrenches as much as run. Spend plenty of time researching carriers. There's no...
