I am told by my mechanic that I need to replace the tranny ECM on my old fl-112 2004 with eaton -fuller auto shift...checked on new one it is almost 2k at freightliner and he says that we are supposed to replace the harness with it...any ideas?? Part # K4195 thanks frank

My shop tells me I have a seeping freeze plug that needs replaced..i will do this but since its such a pain to get to should I have them replace all of them or not? Anyone have experience with this engine?? thenks Frank

Just kicked on a/c for first time this year. compressor running, clutch is engaging,air wasn't cool so checked charge, needed a little Freon so I brought it up to normal level but still no cold air. what should I check next??

thanks everyone ill have the egr checked...cant be apu ...it is a rigmaster ...uses own coolant....i think maybe the fact that i use lucas in oil changes may help hide the coolant bubbles on dipstick. thanks again frank and no it has not been rebuilt yet..

I am losing coolant,,strange thing is not all time ,,one time it will be down a gallon, then drive a thousand miles and still full..the fuel mileage around 9.5-10mpg,but just had oil analysis and it says some coolant in oil,check for leaks and retest...any suggestions? btw--2004 fl-112...

I have a 2004 f-112 with mercedes mbe-4000 series...lately it is getting 20-30 degrees above normal but not at idle only at road speed and worse if a/c on..have to run fan to keep it in norm range....what might this be? thanks frank

I have an 2004 FL-112 with the MBE 900 with 765,000 miles on it. Only minor problems so far, a couple of injector line leaks,etc. nothing really engine wise. Still getting around 10mpg and oil analysis is great. i will probably go with this one again, especially if it goes over 1 million miles...

I have lost my power for some reason, it still cruises at 65mph just fine but little to no response when you try to accelarate off a ramp or pass. I just put anti-gell in last week and seems to have done something??? maybe?? what else could it be. Have fl-112 with MBE 4000-435hp 10 speed auto.

mine did the same for quite awhile...just replaced the alternator, now it runs like a champ, but still the low voltage alarm goes off but it doesnt shut down, i think its something in the wiring.

It is an 2004 FL-112, i thought it was the leveling valve in the back too because when i drop the tag ( I almost always drop my tag and dollies for loading), it takes forever for the air to stop hissing. Should I replace the leveling valve first??...frank
