Agreed. Dry rot tires/ various sizes, leaking tranny cooler, burnt oil, mis ran airlines/electrical all could be found on a pretrip. The fact it took you 2 weeks to find this scares me. You do have a cdl right? As far as a failing turbo and electrical issues, that just goes with buying a used...

Who you drive for and what type of truck/van are you running?

Some of us fleet owners run the large custom sleepers with all the bells and whistles and pay for most everything while your out on the road so you don't need to use hotels. This way the $100k you make driving our truck goes into your pocket and not to Hilton, Marriott or Westin. ;-)

Best pass incorporates your prepass, ezpass, norpass, the tolls out in san fransisco and a couple others in one device. Where they can they prepurchase tolls for a discount and pass those savings on to you. They are great.

I called my previous insurance and got an individual plan. I'm happy with it so far but it's not the cheapest.

Also hazmat and tanker. It's a X endorsement. Big tote tanks now require the tanker or X endorsement even though they fit in an expedite truck. And pending your carrier a passport could be a profitable investment.

Your getting a class b and going through all those hopes? That seems like a lot. Why not just have your boyfriend rent a 33,000 lb Penske and take u to a big parking lot to get accustomed to the truck, then take it out on the roads once your comfortable. You could probably do this all the day...

I used them to get my start into driving. They also helped me get started when I wanted to buy my first truck. I recommend them.
