What do you do with a lot of these small streets that aren't labeled as restricted routes in the Atlas? The Atlas is good for interstate roads, but once you get into town a lot of roads will have signs posted saying no trucks allowed, but you can only see the sign once you've already gone...

That's a good idea, I might try that. I found a WorldNav TeleType Gps routing unit Sam's Club - WorldNav 3.5" Truck or RV Routing GPS Unit but from reviews elsewhere it doesn't seem too reliable.

Do you use this when you drive? Do they come in a stand-alone model like a car gps (from the links I could only see one for laptops and for pocket pc's)

What GPS unit gives you directions that AVOID restricted routes for trucks? My TomTom that I have sent me down this main road today (4 lanes) but after I went through a intersection then they post a sign saying no trucks allowed down this road... What GPS offers these features? :confused:

From what I understand, everyone has to have their own CVOR. But when you are under contract to a freighting company, you operate under their CVOR numbers, but you still need to have your own. So now I have to rush to MTO Monday morning and see if they can put a rush order on this!

I just printed my CVOR from MTO's website by entering my D/L number. It shows I have a valid AZ license, medical due dates but does not display my CVOR number anywhere. I assume that this is something I need.:confused: Why can't the government make things easy for us :p
