Does anyone else despise Pilot Travelcenters?

I drain a fuel sample from my fuel filter into a mason jar every three days to check how clean my fuel is. If there is sand, sludge or water showing, I drain a sample until it is showing clear again.(This is an old habit from flying days.) I have found dirty fuel most often when I fuel at...

    Blown Engine Help

Jeez, Woodman...I was so busy crying about my experience, I forgot to give you a recommendation to consider. Here goes: First, the engine blew while THEY were test driving it, after the turbo installation. Second, what justification do they have to prove that the engine was weakened by the...

    PAY ATTENTION.

I love it when another American Patriot stands up. Our enemies hate it. So do the uninformed. "Don't tread on me.":)

    FL80 pulling to the right

I have found that it is wise to replace both steer tires at the same time, even though it will cost you initially. Realize that it is costing you now that you are having the right pull, anyway. Also, there is the safety factor to consider, right? Check your shocks and if you can afford it...

    What´s in a name?

Our truck is smaller than a big rig and bigger than a scooter...hence, "Big Scooter" as we care nothing about driving a big rig. Hello. Aviator. I flew for the Army, too.:) :) :)

    Tim Hortons

Every time we go to Canada we stop at a Tim Hortons in the early hours for a box of Timbits and a couple of their great cups of coffee. Seems as if there are as many Tim Hortons in Canada as their are Subways in the U.S. Eat up and enjoy. :9 :9 :7

    FEDEX CC New Dispatch Crap

Good response, Vernon, and very similar to our approach, too. Worrying about the other guy only makes you frustrated, quick tempered, paranoid and gray-haired. Worrying about what a great trip you might have missed today can cause you to only anguish more tomorrow. A good fisherman becomes a...

    Idle aire

Ditto, Wild Bill. It was great fun to play with the IdleAire all weekend, and the comfort factor was real high. But the price is what will send them down the Park N View road if they don't give strong consideration to the Math. Most drivers can only afford a night of that per week. I asked their...

    Tire Balancing

I put Centramatic rings on my steering tires last year and a new pair of shocks and haven't had the first vibration or bit of tire cupping. They cost me $120 but have been well worth it, even throught the winter. Ask others who have them and see if they are satisfied with the investment.

    Forum participation...or lack of

Freightchaser...we also use the Sprint PCS card and it is great!! Bought ours at the Sprint Booth at Louisvile Truck Show. $100 a month for unlimited use and we got the card for free. Has some limits as far as reception while going down the road, but works great while sitting. We recommend it.:7...

    Satillite Radio Systems

Here is an info update on the Sirius Satillite Radio system that I won two years ago at the Louisville Truckshow. I was given a free radio system plus free installation, and a year's subscription. It was love at first sound, and the relationship lasted for six months!!! One day I received an...

Thank you very much, Streetsweeper. I'm heading home right now and will have it in the shop tomorrow. And you can bet I'll give SLC Fruitliner a "heads up" as soon as the problem is diagnosed. The problem began 7 Sep 02 and nobody has been able to tell me me what it is. Thanks for your help...

    Air Dryer Problems

Hey Weave, Can you help me with this one? I recently had my dessicant cartridge replaced at Freightliner in Salt Lake City. Afterwards, I noticed a loud thumping/knocking noise when the pressure is building which quits as soon as the pressure release valve activates. If pressure is building...
