    Sprinter Q. & A. time again

Hi LDB, I did not check with Freightliner. I assumed that since Chrysler owns them too the same rules would apply. Guess they are protecting the Canadian dealers as the prices are quite a bit cheaper south of the border. I should check it out though, you never know.

    Sprinter Q. & A. time again

Hello folks, I was informed by Chuck from Grieger motors yesterday that Chrysler does not allow export of Sprinters to Canada. Too bad..:-(

    Need to Know everything

Merkurfan wrote: "The amount you make will depend on what you drive. A cargo van will gross less than a tractor trailer If I had to guess roughly in a cargo van 65,000 in a straight truck 100,000 gros" This is what goes to owner/operators if I'm not mistaken. Just so that there is no...

    Sprinter Q. & A. time again

Hi Terry, In addition to those 2 taxes, you have a AC tax and a weight tax if the vehicle is over approx. 2200kg. Those are minor. There is an additional 6.1% import tax if the vehicle is built outside North America. Still not sure if the Sprinter falls into that category, waiting for answer...

    Sprinter Q. & A. time again

Thanks for the tip Jeff. I called Grieger. Brad wasn't there so they passed me to a guy named Chuck. He seems like a nice guy.

More Lives for a CAT 3126

I agree with Davekc about Lucas. I have an old 3126 and when the oil gets down a gallon I refill it with Lucas and you can feel and hear the difference in the motor. It really quiets down and becomes smooth. I wouldn't use more than a 5 or 10% mixture in extreme cold weather though.

    Sprinter Q. & A. time again

I've been shopping for Sprinters in the Toronto area and am dismayed with what I'm seeing. The salesmen don't have a clue about the vehicle, the prices are steep, yet they're very eager to get me to sign on the dotted line. How do they expect someone to buy such an expensive vehicle when they...

    Tall Van Drivers

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I called Bentz and asked them to send info on their Sprinter bunks. As for the Aerocell, there is only one option if you want to keep it under 10000 GVW, the bubbly SRW. It's taller and wider than the Sprinter but not as long. With a sleeper it will...

    Tall Van Drivers

I am looking at Sprinters because they're roomy. But they're not very wide as with most cargo vans. I'm going to have a bunk installed I was wondering what it is going to be like sleeping on a short bed for the next few years. I'm 6'2" & I like to lie flat on my back and realized I won't be...

    Canada Checking it out.

"Apparently they are hooked up with some local freight company ( Arber.. somthing or other??? ) that will run you into the ground because you got the big payment and they got you by the shorts." The freight company you are talking about here is Aberstar. Kennedy owns this company. Many...

    Canada Checking it out.

"Is there any chance of legal recourse?" I'd have to take a number and get in line I guess. I'm small fry I only bought one truck. I know one businessman from Saskatchewan who bought 17 from them. They prey on newbies and investors from out of town. Most of the big leasing companies out...

    Canada Checking it out.

If anyone here is thinking about buying a truck from Kennedy Transportation, take the advice of someone who already made that mistake: Don't do it. t
