    Mercedes engines

We have these engines in the Freightliner business class at my bae here in NJ. We use them as deicer trucks. We don't really care about MPG since they idle alot but we do use the crap out of them. Lots of idle time and slow driving which is not the best thing for a motor. They seem to run...

There are so many different options on stuff it's not even funny. I would think as long as you can meet thier demands and do it safely it shouldn't be a huge issue

RE: Preacher >But can the E-350 or GM 3500 compete on gas mileage with the >sprinter? I drove this set up ryder across the country towing my truck on a full size trailer and I don't recall the fuel cost as it was some time ago but it was pretty decent, even with all the hills I encountered...

    Sprinter Sleeper conversion pics.

RE: Preacher Plus these trucks are a dime a dozen and parts are abundant both new and used! You could buy some old UHaul or Ryder trucks and have more parts than you would ever need! plus use the top part over the cab for a bunk. I love the ideas flowing on this site!

They didn't give a reason just said they won't lease on that sort of equipment. Personally I don't see why not. I think this sort of set up as well as many others would increase thier capicity and flexibility.

I am interested in this set up but so far noone would want to lease on this sort of equipment, at least none of the bigger names I have talked to. Let us know what you come up with

Thats true stuff although if I can get my cargo load system to work I wouldn't let the forklift into my box as the cargo would move to the back of the box on rollers. There are a couple of different ways one could go. Since the floor is so low on the trailer put in a higher floor and use that...

I guess I am in a unique position in that I don't have any kids to worry about. Just me and my wife and this is the start to career number two. Actually the trailer has two floors so you could stack it and still have it on the floor. Not sure how that would work with maybe having two or three...

Thanx LDB. Yeah it's always nice to dream but I would park in truck stops as least amounts as possible if I could get a rig with a shower just for that reason. I realize that THIS particular truck wouldn't work but like I said it's the concept I am looking at not the truck. They do make a...

http://www.fivertrailer.com/product/renegade/inventory/k1002.html See I almost wonder why something like this wouldn't work? You could modify the inside of the trialer to give you dock height and have storage under the floor AND live like a KING! Looks like the trailer could easily handle the...

If you stuck a bigger sleeper on it, how are you going to tilt it forward to get to the motor? I guess thats one reason I wouldn't want one as all your stuff inside would go flyin!
