Fedx considering option of a flat rate for strt and tt

Regardless of the industry, that's the hurdle. Very few Tiffany's or Lexus. I paid 39 bucks at Target for a microwave yesterday, but don't mind bashing company's that take their job oversea's. I'm the problem and the solution.

    Going Public

I haven't kicked a puppy today, but it's early. My only agenda on this forum is to learn about the expediting business. I look forward to reading the posts each day, it's almost become a hobby. My interest in Panther, prior to this thread, was as a prospective carrier. That hasn't changed...

    Going Public

Panther’s definition of Goodwill and Goodwill Impairment follows verbatim from their statements. Goodwill represents the excess of cost over the fair market value of net assets acquired in business combinations. In accordance with Financial Accounting Standards Board Accounting Standards...

    Going Public

Turtle, I applied myself to reading the 200 page statement and applying my superficial skills to the analysis of both their financial statements and various notes. My conclusion still stands. Bleeding is a pejorative term, but accurate nonetheless. I found the following in their statement...

    Educate the Public

It's cheaper to sit, shoot, then write speeding tickets. Here in Houston the PD sits under the over passes and writes tickets for seat belts, inspection stickers and registrations to vehicles using the U-Turn lanes. It's not about safety, it's taxation by citation.

Why I Want to Work for the Government

Equity of Metro fare increases questioned By Ann Scott Tyson Washington Post Staff Writer Monday, August 9, 2010 Metro's historic fare increase is hitting some riders far harder than others -- with some paying entirely out of their own pockets while a large percentage, including...

They're bleeding cash. How can you increase sales 43 percent and still have an operating margin of .2%? I'd like to see their balance sheet and P&L. They'd have to have one hell of a business plan for me to invest in them.

Chinese missile could shift Pacific power balance

I agree completely. Robotic technology, virtually anything that must be done more than once can be mechanized. Nanotechnology, the ability to create assemblies on a sub atomic level. Just like the Jetson's and Star Trek. What are we going to do to entertain ourselves, we all can't explore new...

Chinese missile could shift Pacific power balance

Drone aircraft, cruise missiles, Metal Storm, stealth technology, satellite based weapon systems. Desert Storm proved the fallacy of large bodies of armored, or air supported infantry having a significant impact on the modern battlefield. Carriers are projectors of power, but are just 1 arrow...

Chinese missile could shift Pacific power balance

The Brit's learned in the Falkland Islands that surface vessels are susceptible to missiles. FWIW, one of the last tests of SDI was launched from a ship in the Pacific. The idea that sinking an aircraft carrier somehow shifts the balance of power in the Pacific US doesn't make much sense...
