Yes! As Moose says, hold your ground! Just don't mind if you lose a few two-skid loads to us vanners; that's where those loads belong in the first place :D:cool: Sent from my SCH-I110 using EO Forums mobile app

    local routes

It is. I speak from experience. Not so much Prestige's fault, just the cutthroat competition. I literally spent HALF my daily pay on fuel. Sent from my SCH-I110 using EO Forums mobile app

Time for light-duty trucks to scale?

Did 400 Tuesday night, got 6 hrs fitful sleep, did 900 just now. Don't have the last 55 to go from Waycross to Brunswick. Got a room. Tired makes stupid, stupid makes tragedy. Even a n00b knows that. Sent from my SCH-I110 using EO Forums mobile app

Time for light-duty trucks to scale?

FWIW, I'm not calling for CV's to be brought under the same regulatory scheme as big trucks (CDL's, etc); if they were, I'd be purged along with the "cubies". I just think cubes should be weighed. It will not happen, though; imagine the stink Penske, UHaul, etc would raise if Ma & Pa Kettle...

Time for light-duty trucks to scale?

I haven't named my source because 1. I didn't ask permission to quote him, and 2. I'm still contracting with his company and wish to continue doing so. Is he pulling my leg? Mebbe; after al, I AM a n00b. OTOH, maybe he meant to say (or I misheard him) that there are 650 new trucks out there...

Time for light-duty trucks to scale?

I got it from the president of an established carrier, a member of TEANA. They met last week in Kentucky, to try to come up with a plan to deal with it. Trust me, I've heard my share of CB/truckstop stories on this too; one rumor has these guys earning $60 a day, regardless of mileage  ...
