EO drivers TIP for the day ............

Just getting out of the van for fresh air is good for the mind. One starts to think about things other than how long it's been they've been waiting for that call. Sent from my ADR6300 using EO Forums

Ei yi yi... Look what I found while checking the auction sites..

When I was about to be passed over for a local scholarship in favor of an African American classmate with a lower GPA because she was considered "a minority", my parents approached the school board with the census statistics, and the definition of "minority". I got the scholarship. Sent from...

Water, water, water: drink more water, educational read.

I started drinking water water water water seven years ago. Coffee in the morning (1 cup...ok, a BIG MUG).1 diet soda at night. The result? My skin improved dramatically, and weight slowly started coming off, 1-2 lbs a month. Those were just the benefits that could be seen. Sent from my ADR6300...

Ei yi yi... Look what I found while checking the auction sites..

Interestingly, where I grew up, it was working class mixed racial demographic, 65% African-American. The most prevalent welfare system abusers in the 'hood were white people. So much for stereotypes. I enjoyed the op. I thought it was funny. The things people will publicly display on a vehicle...

Ei yi yi... Look what I found while checking the auction sites..

"Ei yi yi" or however one wants to spell it was popularized by the character of Ricky Ricardo. It was taken to mean "Unbelievable!", "Is she SERIOUS?", "Oh no she dih-int!", etc. Offensively racist? No. Many of our common words and phrases come from other cultures. I am a fan of Yiddish myself...

    I don't even know what I don't know but I know this...

Bicycles, walking, small exercise equipment (resistance bands, a roll up mat or blanket to put on the floor of the cargo hold for sit-ups). Books and games for the rainy, snowy, blustery days. Most important to GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE everyday. Even in bad weather, at least go into the truckstop...

    giving drivers a bad name

You are right, Dynamite. Some lots we walk in, the odor is strong. As for the guy I mentioned earlier, he wasn't parked that far from the building. He could have gone inside. Guess he was marking his territory by whizzing on his tire? I don't think it's oversensitive to expect people to respect...

    Tornados hammer S.E Mich

The "unconfirmed" one near Jeffman was confirmed. By a destroyed house, eyewitnesses, and the path trail. Haven't heard the F-rating on that one. Sent from my ADR6300 using EO Forums

    Tornados hammer S.E Mich

NWS has applied the storm data to the 1953 Beecher Tornado and rated that one F-5. Until Joplin, MO it had the dubious distinction of being the single most destructive tornado in recorded US history (118 dead, over 800 injured, more than 600 homes and businesses destroyed). Nevertheless, I...

    giving drivers a bad name

Recently at the J in Effingham, while going for our daily walk, a semi driver was relieving himself on his driver's side front tire in broad daylight. Maybe these types of people are exhibitionists. Sent from my ADR6300 using EO Forums

    Tornados hammer S.E Mich

Jeffman had dime sized hail and torrential rains for 30 minutes straight at his house, with an unconfirmed touchdown in the village just 5 miles south of him. I am about 35 miles SW of him and I got some rain, a little thunder...meanwhile, less than an hour from me, Dexter, MI gets hit by a...

    Dog the Bounty Hunter

I will give some "reality" shows a look-see just to satisfy my curiosity. I refuse to watch "Jersey Shore" though. The commercials for that are more than enough for me. Yeah...who makes those bras for Beth? US Steel? Dangeee... Sent from my ADR6300 using EO Forums
