    Correct....if a carrier needs a 30-35% margin to make money....after operating costs, a single operator can do the same load 30% cheaper...in theory.

    If there is price fixing collusion between the banks...I imagine you have some sort of watchdog government regulatory branch? BTW..If you think the fees are bad here...you should have had to deal with Canadian banking system....It felt like they had a fee for processing a fee....

    Just a general example that may apply in certain circumstances: A CV/Sprinter gets into KC and 3 straights unload there as well...Now the carrier wants to pay to move a couple of them say at .50 a mile...but WAIT a single skid CV load pops up paying .90 going back to a better area....Now whom...

    It is a fact of expediting Phil....TT's have a value over straights as straights have a value over CV's....One has to know their worth to the business....If ones expectations are too high and are always getting knocked down because that darned straight truck got loaded before you......what good...

    Learned long ago just where I am in the "food chain"...once a CV'er realizes this and deals with it, this job becomes a lot easier......The thing is in a sprinter there is a lower life form below me....LOL....

    All this competition is because it is just too easy to get into a van....and carriers have been well...just under valuating vans...IMO $1.20 - $1.25 would be a much better rate. There is very little wiggle room at $1.00 or less. Some carriers IMO treat us as throw aways....
