    Phone with John

This discussion began asking the question if a fleet owner wants to add a truck does he have to clear it with management. That question has been answered, yes he does. Somewhere along the way the discussion devolved into how many trucks are in the fleet. It is not our responsibility to...

Long Range Weather Forecast for Expo

Last night's forecast is for 95 degrees both days here in Columbus. Wilmington is 50 miles south of here and usually is a bit warmer. Whew......

They haven't changed that much. Some trucks are equipped with automatic slack adjusters. You still adjust the manual ones based on the measurement of the brake chamber pushrod. Stating the obvious, chock the wheels of the truck and release the brakes. Get a piece of chalk or some means of...

Thanks Jason. I'm looking forward to getting out of this limbo. I thought of something else regarding your fleet question. It's kind of a juggling act on how many trucks in the fleet. John has to have enough to cover the customer's needs plus a bit more. The number I don't have is the...

    Phone with John

Jason, No harm no foul. To know, you have to ask. No fleet owner has carte blanche. John controls the number of trucks in the fleet. No truck is added without approval. I had to ask John before I added the ST that I'm going to drive. Ron cleared his as well. Any other I had no...

    Phone with John

Yep, that's it. I could have sold it 3 or 4 times just during the day I was at Taylor when I parked it. Wombat wanted it too. He called me when he took it over to Belle. It rides better than the Sterling, and has a National "throne" drivers seat. I hadn't driven a truck in 6 months and I...

    Phone with John

That's an hour of his life he'll never get back. Wonder how much Jameson he had to consume to recover.:D I don't see what he would have to explain. Two of the sprinters were from an existing fleet owner and the owner posted that here on EO. John wouldn't add trucks just to be adding them...

    What is it?

Cheri, Have a better place for you to take the truck. It's where I take all of mine now. 5 miles from the yard. PM me if you want the name and address.

Do you have an exceptional Expediter Truck or Van?

No worries. My ST will be shadowing his van in the booth. It's a working truck.:D

    What is it?

Joe, It has a crank sensor and a camshaft sensor. One of them reads rpm. The ECM has to "see" that the engine is turning before it will fire the injectors. It could be your starter as well. Next time you go to start it, turn one of your cab lights on. If the light really dims while...

    July Location....and Dollas!!!

Agreed! The difference here is that there is no question that John will not put on vans/sprinters/straights he can not use effectively. We have better control over our own business. Another weird thingee....When was the last time a CEO knew how long you had been sitting???

Was the accident here?? Wish I had known. I could have at least gone to the hospital so he wasn't alone. Glad he's ok. Way to go Dennis!!!
