    Expediter Services leaving E-1

We started with ES. Drove for them for about 8 months. The only negatives I would say are the truck washes could be more frequent and the PM's done on a consistently scheduled basis. Pay was always correct and on time. Everyone was nice and professional. Paid for our hotel when the truck was in...

    Finding a dentist

I got it fixed at the Iowa 80. The dentist there did a better job fitting it then my local dentist. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful again.:p:eek:

    Finding a dentist

Does anyone know how to find a dentist while on the road? I am going to try the Iowa 80 if I can make it there during business hours. If not I need to find one that will take me Thursday or Friday. I have a crown on a post on my front tooth that came out and I need to have it re cemented. No...

    Are we underinsured?

Call CIS (Commercial Insurance Solutions) and ask them what that policy covers vs the policy they sell. And see what the price difference is. I think you will be surprised.

    HI from... The oil guy!?

Don't be so sure about the net profit potential of a T/T vs S/T. Maintenance and wear and tear can be less on an S/T as the truck will never be running at 80,000 pounds. 6 or 10 tires vs 18, 4 or 6 sets of brakes vs 10. IRP Plates are less and there is usually no Heavy Vehicle Use Tax. I believe...

    60% + fsj + unknown fleet owner

But, the driver is not taking it out of his bank account. If he takes the advance on the fuel card and buys fuel and keeps the rest it is money that the fleet owner can not screw him out of. Having 75% of your pay upfront and waiting for the other 25% is a lot safer for the driver than paying...

    Was 9 Pallets - Now hauling 15

"one reason I started this thread was to get the opinion from those who are using some sort of method for handling more than their deck capacity of freight as to what they feel is a safe weight per pallet for the method they use." Really? "The question was legitimate, clear and concise. A...

    Was 9 Pallets - Now hauling 15

I was thinking about double stacking freight last night and came to some of the conclusions that Slacktide posted. Plus: I do not believe my carrier would allow it. I do not think the walls of my box were designed for this type of loading. I could just see a fork lift driver putting a skid...

    How will this truck work?

Surprisingly this truck is now built and leaving on it's maiden voyage 2 weeks ahead of schedule. It weighed in completely loaded up with fuel, drivers and personal belongings at just under 19k. The upfitter rated it at 25990 GVWR. It's painted all red including the box so if it you see it...
