Ive always considered that when you get to Laredo, your not hurting until you've spent a full week mon-sat. So, for me, you've not been there a full day yet. You had a good long run to get there and you'll likely get a good long run out. Take a nap, relax, be prepared for a long run when the...

    Skirts

To the original post. If I were ordering a new truck, i would order it with factory fairings to the back of the sleeper, from there I would likely use side boxes starting as close to the fairings as possible. If I decided to use a skirt, it would start behind the boxes and continue to the first...

    Skirts

I've seen the heat/lack of cooling mentioned a couple of times. It would be my opinion that skirts would have no more...or less... effect on cooling of the drive axle/axles than the factory fairings installed on a large number of new otr tractors. Also, aftermarket fenders have been available...

Can You Quantify EOBR $$$ Benefits?

Liability sbould be our biggest concern with anything we do out here. A DOT cop can ruin your day or week or month...maybe even your year if they hit you hard enough. A lawyer can ruin your life.

Still in Chattanooga area. The lucky streak must be over. Have had a decent revenue week but an awesome week for rates. Hoping for one more load...but getting doubtful now.

What are the Roads You'd Rather Not Travel?

Hwy 219 through PA up to Buffalo, NY. I did it once, never again. I agree with Phil except I would include I-80 as well with all the construction and heavy truck traffic. I-95 from Richmond, VA to New Haven, CT. I avoid it if at all possible. Zorry, my brother used to sell a lot of new farm...

    Coolant leak

Cheri, let me know if you haven't found a solution already. I can't remember the name of the product but I can find out with a couple phone calls. A family friend owns a tractor dealership/service dept and he uses a specific epoxy, 2 part I believe. He swears by it....and believe me when it...

Sitting just out of Chattanooga. Turns out the rescue load last night was from another carrier. Also turns out that rescuing other carrier's loads apparently pays very, very well :D Ive not run many miles this week (860 or so odometer...so far), but the pay has been unbelievable. I keep looking...

I understand your point...but you cant deny that the extra space just got roadtime out of south tx....and if you had took the load to FL, it might have helped you get out of there too. You cant deny that the extra space=more opportunities. Of course, the comfort is nice...and when freight is...

Have had a few nibbles today, but nothing on the truck yet. Well, there was the offer this morning to go 80 or 90 miles into IN and pickup a 150 mile load going over into OH. The money wasnt there to make it work. Dispatcher: "so, you don't want to do anything either?" Me: "huh?" Must have...

    Box for straight truck

I would have no problem with lighter material after the first foot or so. I think you'll see some damage on the lower portions. My etrack was against the floor also (they even ripped the etrack loose once). What I would probably do is have etrack on the floor, another row at about 36" with 1/2"...
