If your truck is tagged for GVW of 11k, then you are registered a commercial vehicle. If the van empty is 85K you are still a commercial van therefore must log. If you tag the van down to under 10K then you are okay no matter what you haul, but will only be legal up to 10K loaded.

As Weave stated the antenna really makes the radio, and that 25 is the over all best for it's price. A good antenna for the van is a mag mount Willson 1000, 2000 or 5000. Because of all that roof it makes for a very good ground.

Rich, I would truly recommend a cable hook up. But! If you insist on a phone line, look into I.D.T. # is 800CallIDT. I had them for 4yrs, before I switched to cable. My bill was a whopping $13.95 a month plus tax. I had very good service with them!!!
