Canada My last trip to Canada was my last trip to Canada

In the same vein I was driving west on I-90 in western New York and saw a flashing sign that announced "Operation Hang Up". It had to do with only using hand free cell phones. Shortly after the sign was an overpass where a man was studying traffic with a pair of binoculars. Immediately below the...

Canada My last trip to Canada was my last trip to Canada

Took a load from Chicago to Quebec City, crossed the border at Port Huron and all was going well. I delivered 12 hours early and was advised to return to the US by the Cat if I wanted another load out. The closest border crossing was Jackman, Maine so there I went. The US customs asked me what I...

    2008 Sprinters

In researching Sprinter prices I keep coming across many 2008 models with little or no miles. Seems the market is flooded with them but not so on 2009 models. Anyone know the story on this situation?

    Best BBQ in Alabama

Yep Lawrence it is a declaration of war that ye made. Anybody with a tasteful tongue knows that the Moonlite in Owensboro, KY is the best overall BBQ place. Their Burgoo is supreme and their chopped pork and mutton are to die for. Best ribs I ever had were at Gates Brothers in Kansas City.

    Another dumb question from Mssissippi

I found a great deal on a Ford extended van (15 passenger). Tried to call Panther today to ask if they allowed converted passenger vans for hauling cargo but could not reach anyone. Does anyone know if they are permitted? Thanks y'all. P.S. Joe , still waiting for your PM reply

gas vs diesel in a van

I have been unable to find mileage differences between gas and diesel for Ford and Chevy vans. Anyone know how these two fuel sources compare? Where could this info be found? Most sites list diesel MPG as unknown. Thanks

    Again....Mississippi

I have been told that cargo vans do not have to stop at weigh stations. Does that go for all states? Thanks.

    What happening with Panther???

I drove 40 miles to pick up this 1133 mile run from GA to Laredo, waited 100 minutes to load (including a fire drill at the plant), I was told later my time would be up at 12:01 AM and a swap was required. I then was instructed to give up the load at 5:30 pm (6 and 1/2 hours and 800 miles...

    What happening with Panther???

Sorry to have brought it up then. Is there anything else that they have covered that you object to being asked or mentioned?

    What happening with Panther???

So if venting (the act of releasing undesirable air) is all that is accomplished by the council, why do they even have one?

    What happening with Panther???

To pull a swap is fine if it is made known with the offer. It is bait and switch to do it after pickup. Soooo, how do I contact the driver council rep?

    What happening with Panther???

Today was my maiden voyage in a cargo van, I have driven straight trucks for Panther prior to today. I am the one who had their run from GA to Loredo stopped in Meredian, MS. A good 800 mile short of what was offered. In the initial offer Panther said it was a "HOT" load and had to be there on...

    New Use for Expediter Trucks

A Sprinter would work but a Hino would be the perfect vehicle for this application. It's nature, it's name but best of all it's more use to a clinic setting. In fact the one I drove was clinic tenured. Also Hinos are usually automatic so none of that messy manual stuff and they never rush to...

    Recovering my stuff

He agreed to return it during that one phone call but it has not happened. I asked for a contract at the start and he said write one up and I will consider it. He assured me that he always operated purely on verbal contracts with his other drivers and various teams in his other trucks. Much...
