    Do ya believe it?

My question to you would be, did you get a better load after that turn down or did you sit for a day or two more before loading. Not enough info in your post to see if you were right or wrong on the turn down.

I am ANGRY....and do not know where to direct it.....

Because I just called them a couple of weeks ago to see what Panthr paid for sprinters. That's how I know. Most of the time we deadhead we do get extra, all we do is ask. providing a loaded rate only. Where do you get Panther vans run at .90 cents? That isn't factual and I don't even run...

I am ANGRY....and do not know where to direct it.....

You have to consider that some companies get good rates for thei cargo vans and sprinters.. This year my rats to the truck including deadhead has been close to 1.27 a mile. Where as, Panther pays what .90 max including FSC. No wonder you would think it might be impossible. Try this Jan TTT was...

    Disability the new welfare

Which I have in Spades, even driving hurts my back nowadays. Going fishing I can stand for an hour or so before I have to sit down for a while. Hell just bringing in big fish hurts like hell. But I traded in the 18 wheels for 4 wheels and its helped some.

Cargo vans/Sprinters not welcome at Flying J in Houston

Don't know what Love's you go to around the country, but I've not been kicked out of any yet. The first thing I do is go inside and talk to the manager on duty and ask them if they have a problem with me parking for the night and I tell them where I'm parked in the lot. They will tell me if it's...

Implications of new 34 hour restart rule

They do, and I get the same answer I posted their is no way around the team split of 2 off and 8 in sleeper or the 1/2 hour on duty for watching loads. I talk to the head of that department every time I go to safety meeting during the truck shows or other BCO events.

Implications of new 34 hour restart rule

Read the new rules they allow the split sleeper berth for teams to be 2 off duty in the jump seat and eight hours in the sleeper, just as if a solo driver is doing the split. The 1/2 hour break for 1.1,1.2 and 1.3 is on duty, but you get to use that as your break. Nowhere, Ive seen does it...

Implications of new 34 hour restart rule

Phil, maybe you can show me in the regulations where the FMCSA has exempted carriers from the HOS rules for babysitting loads. If there is no exemption then the companies are allowing drivers to falsify their logs. I've never read anything in the rules that allows the co driver to leave the...
