    Is anyone moving?

No newbie here. Been almost 10 yrs. Well aware of those Simmons loads. And they were not running that week. Had no reason to head toward home. My home is where the van is parked. Also was wanting a load longer than 250 miles.

    Is anyone moving?

Yeah I'm solo. And I live in the NE. Binghamton express center. For me being up there is about the worst place to be.

    Is anyone moving?

I'm into my 9th day of sitting now. Had one call in last 5 days! Started in Richmond, moved to Raleigh. Now trying Charlotte. Not one load out down here this week. Update... Just had offer with 500 miles DH. By the way I'm in a B unit.

    Fuel surcharge cargo vans

Agreed. That's what a fsc is supposed to be for...the driver. It wasn't intended to be a money maker for the carrier. Yeah having the FedEx name on the truck sure doesn't mean what it used to. Should be ABC Expediting now. And that's a shame.

    Fuel surcharge cargo vans

In their infinite wisdom, they came up with this brilliant idea that started in June 2014. They supposedly use the national avg for the price. Seems to me like it's just more money for them and less for us. And they won't say how much they charge the customers for fsc. Settlement sheets always...

    Fuel surcharge cargo vans

Currently FedEx fsc for a gas cargo van is 5.5 CPM. So nice of them to keep the rest of what they charge the customers. It pays for less than half of my fuel :(

    Brokers

I know it's risky. But I'm not getting much with the company I'm signed on with. One or two loads a week isn't cutting it. I've talked to a few independent people that say they are doing good. Or do I believe them??...

    Brokers

I'm thinking about going on my own. Can anybody give me info on brokers and where to find them? Who are the better ones? I'm in a cargo van and live in upstate NY. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Excessive deadhead

I can't afford to run for .45-.50/all miles. I'm not sure how anyone can. Been doing this for 10 years. Thinking my days are numbered. Not being able to negotiate at all is making this not profitable. Most other carriers negotiate. Maybe it's time to change. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using EO...

    Excessive deadhead

I'm a solo driver in a van. So if I deadhead that far, it only leaves 100-200 miles for the load. According to the VRU there weren't any other trucks in the area. Also have a <75 for my last load that cancelled. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using EO Forums mobile app

    Excessive deadhead

Why do they send these loads to trucks so far away from pickup? I'm constantly getting offers that are 300-500 miles to pickup. For .15/mi , how do they think we can do this? Just the past two days I've had over 10 of these offers. Then I check the VRU to find they dispatched two loads out of...

    Conference call tomorrow

It was live. You could hear them discussing who should answer. Didn't miss much. They just constantly said it was our fault because we always asked for too much money. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using EO Forums mobile app

    Conference call tomorrow

And I live hearing how they rarely even answer the question. They beat around the bush. Constantly saying it's our fault they changed it. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using EO Forums mobile app

    Long deadheads

I've been here long enough to know that NOTHING FedEx does makes sense. They are in it for themselves and could care less about the drivers. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using EO Forums mobile app
