    BUYING A TRUCK

Dan Shultz hasn't been with Knoxville Freightliner or in the expedited business for almost a year. Dave Epling took his place at the same location that Dan used to be at. I know he has inventory because we can see the dealership from I-76 when we pass by. Dave also was an expediter for quite...

    To TroadGirl

Goblue, if you read more closely, you will notice that Wendycal said they were on the verge of bankruptcy before they changed companies. Currently they seem to be with a company that not only pays well, but they are also quite content.

    Fuel Prices

Rich, too bad these babies won't run on Coor's! Then again, it's a good thing they don't. However , a few Coor's would occassionally make TPS offers look a little better. Not that I'd take them anyways!

    Who's got one?

Yes! the first Western Star expediter will hit the ground about July 12. 9 speed will about 81,000-81,500. Auto Shift will be about 83,500. The first 7 will be built on June 1. They will spec'd comprobable to the FL 80. LOADED!!

    Con-Way Now Teams

Conway Now Teams You probably should just go back to Tri-State. You seemed to be the happiest there. You moved a lot, and the money was consistent.

    Another Question!!

Rod's full of crap! If he's a recruiter out Minneapolis/St. Paul, and he's recommending Alumi-Bunk, I assure you he's getting kickbacks. Go ask 20 Alumi-Bunk owners (any 20 randomly) if they would buy from them again.

    fedex adding trucks

The run count is just not there. Nobody there is sure why. Usually on Saturday morning there are several runs to dispatch for Monday. Not this past weekend. In fact, for the first time in a long time, they actually sent agents on the night shift home. Yes, we're all concerned!

FedEx works best when you want to work, res o300

RE: FedEx works best when you want to work, Toadgirl either works inside or just started with Robert's as a contractor. Either way, she's in the minority!

FedEx works best when you want to work, res o300

RE: FedEx works best when you want to work, I agree with you xpediter. Most insiders at Robert's would be guessing if they told you today is Monday. You're right toadgirl. You can probably move fairly decent if you want to keep running TPS freight for .90 a mile in a "D" unit. I guarantee you...

    Another Question!!

You must be with Alumi-Bunk. I have never and I mean never met one person who bought from them that said they would ever do business with them again! I find it strange that not even one of people I've talked would say "they're alright", but not one! that's testimony enough for me.

    Work Accident Insurance

Rich, why are you so surprised? Think back over the last 13 years of all the things they were not going to do. Remember the three R's (Roberts Rubber Rules).

RE: FECC Sorry Beaker, I meant to type in "arrange this type of meeting" on my last posting.

    FedEx

RE: FECC Beaker, regarding the turnover rate, the statement is accurate for the past 27 months. Regarding your statement that Roberts would be going bankrupt, they probably would if all of a sudden they were unable to recruit enough trucks to offset the turnover rate. AS for actual testimony...

    Were do you think?

Joe, you need to understand that Roberts recruits very heavily from March 15th on. Their daily run levels also are way down until about the middle of May. Therefore, express centers everywhere have far more units then neccessary. It's called "decorating express centers". Keep in mind that it...
