    Expedite Solo in a Hino??

Thanks Dakota & Jim Jim your views on the sleeper are one big reason I was including ST's in my add. From the posts I got the impression there aren't many opening for a solo in a ST. If running an ST and assuming it worked out there's an option to go team with me girlfriend. It's apparent...

    Expedite Solo in a Hino??

Dakota what do you drive? Sprinter would be preferred. Working for little money is NOT an option. Part of why I'm not pursuing the ST position. After personal expenses and taxes the net would be so low I'd be better off staying home w/ a JOB. Was also offered a solo in a cube van w/...

    Expedite Solo in a Hino??

Thanks again Chief. I'm going to amend my Driver add for a CV but Sprinter preferred and drop the ST all together. "....signing on with the right carrier....." Seems to be the key. But No One every says who the "Right Carrier" is and most don't even give suggestions. It's like if you...

    Expedite Solo in a Hino??

Thanks again for all the input!! :) I'm passing on this opportunity. Doesn't sound like there are many solo straight trucks. Either as drivers or O/O. From the input and reading other posts Sprinter or CV is the way to go if running solo. Any suggestions????

    Expedite Solo in a Hino??

It's an 06 w/ "under 500k" for miles....but they didn't say exactly how many. Automatic w/ 86" sleeper and 22' box. Don't know the gearing and I would be responsible for fuel but not maintenance. The frig in the sleeper doesn't work. They've had it repaired multiple times, and there's no AC...

    Expedite Solo in a Hino??

WOW:eek::eek: From what all of you have posted and reading the links provided.....I'd be better off driving up to the ER and shooting myself in the foot! At least that way I wouldn't have to limp very far. :D

    Expedite Solo in a Hino??

I've been offered a solo driver slot in a Hino w/ a 60/40 split leased to Panther. Told it gets 9.5-10 mpg at 62. Also it's over 26k gvw, log and fuel taxes apply. Don't know anything about these trucks, history, ride, cost to operate, etc. Told I'll only be able to do 400 miles a day and no...

New Driver - Who to Drive For??

Mcavoy33: Thanks for the info. Did you mean "Expediter Services" in Memphis? T/S?? From the responses it appears Sprinters average about the same as a diesel CV. Considering the difference in vehicle cost the sprinters allows more cargo and a better ride / driver amenities? Wondering...

New Driver - Who to Drive For??

After expediting in a pickup and having a 97 E350 diesel cargo for contracting I can imagine the difference in room / ride in a Sprinter. Don't see many posts about diesel CV. ??? Can anyone recommend a good company or perhaps more important.....bad ones? Don't see many adds...

New Driver - Who to Drive For??

Purchasing a van is down the road, assuming the numbers work out. Part of why I'm looking for a driver position first. I expect to make someone else money while I'm learning. ;)
